I still live!

Fear me, mortals.

I've had a busy week or two. A-level mocks, a school concert and some serious gaming sessions have all featured, as has the revelation that my ex-girlfriend (the one I broke up with just before my AS-level exams) is now bisexual. The sad thing is that, were I to mention this to any one of the vast majority of my male peers, they would instantly start talking about threesomes.

Just to prove that some people really do think I'm a girl:

Ante Up! Yap that fool! Ante Up! Kidnap that fool! Get him (get him) get him! Hit him (hit him) hit him! says:
u got a pic or cam?
Robin says:
no
Robin says:
for the record, I'm a guy and I'm straight
Robin says:
and I have a girlfriend
Ante Up! Yap that fool! Ante Up! Kidnap that fool! Get him (get him) get him! Hit him (hit him) hit him! says:
oh shit
Robin says:
glad that's cleared up

Breaking News...

It seems I have a blog! Well, how about that.

Over the next... however long I keep on using this page, you can expect to see me using it as a general-purpose dumping ground for any deeply philosophical insights I may have into the meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything (aka rants).

I am ashamed to admit that the idea of starting a blog was not my own. "What?" you cry, "you mean you didn't single-handedly come up with the idea of a blog, develop it into a full-scale project and secretly allow millions of others to take advantage of the concept before subtly starting your own?"

Yes, well, don't spread it.

Anyway, for any newcomers to the Wondrous World of Robin, I should probably give some sort of self-introduction. There's always some controversy among psychologists over the order in which a person lists details about himself, since supposedly it reveals inner aspects of the subject's personality.

I trust there are no psychologists amongst you.

To get to the point, I am 17, male (some people seem to think otherwise from my name), Jewish by race and culture but agnostic by faith and a resident of Sutton, a largish town on the edge of that most splendid city, London. My speciality is mathematics, which makes me instantly popular with the kind of people who like laughing at mathematicians. For the rest of you, I also enjoy music, any and all of the sciences, ancient history and more or less anything else you care to throw at me, except philosophy and rocks which are both equally painful as far as I'm concerned. In my spare time I play or design computer games, as the mood takes me. I have been known to write the occasional poem.

I also have a mild form of Asperger Syndrome. This variant of autism has not been officially diagnosed in me, but anyone who has spent enough time around me will confirm that I display all the significant traits. I also tend towards insomnia, which is entirely unrelated but somewhat inconvenient in today's society, which seems unreasonably biased in favour of the daytime.

I am not, contrary to popular belief, a hypochondriac.

For those who are curious about the origin of my blog's url, it is this: I can recite pi to 150 decimal places from memory. I am not proud of this fact, but it remains a fact. A good memory can sometimes come in useful, as is evidenced by almost all of my exam results (the ones I took just after breaking up with my first girlfriend don't count).

Well, that's just about it for now. I hope you're all looking forward to my next post. I certainly am!
